The Drop-off Playgroup
Environment The Acorns Drop-off Playgroup provides a small, gentle, nurturing environment for children aged 2-3½ years old experiencing those first important steps away from home care. Our sessions The week revolves around a clear daily routine which the children learn to love and find reassuring. They take part in free play, sing season-based songs, enjoy a healthy organic meal together and story time. Each day of the week has its own activity/craft, from bread making, crayoning, soup making to watercolour painting. What happens at playgroup A lot of free play, exploring and socializing, playing and inventing, in direct contact with Mother Nature, with toys and object made of natural materials. Indoor time and outdoor time. The children play outside whatever the weather. For this they are suitably clothed with very warm layers and waterproof from head to toe! Toilet time and washing hands transition from outside time to indoors; snack and story time usually end each session. We celebrate the seasons, festivals and birthdays; everything is done in a simple but magical way. Experienced team We pride ourselves on our excellent standard of quality care. All of our staff are DBS checked.
