Dartmouth Row We will have a very special Advent story, some singing and a snack. Please arrive at 10. 00 You may enter the church hall as usual, but quietly, whilst the drop off playgroup have their turn before us. Acorns Parent and Child group will start at 10.15 am -- right after Playgroup's celebration --meanwhile could the parent and Child group families wait in the church hall at the back, settling down the children whilst the Playgroup walks the spiral. Some Acorns leaders, who are parents will walk the spiral and light a candle if they wish to; we invite the older children of our group sessions to walk the spiral too, straight after the drop off Playgroup. The younger children will be just watching and listening to the singing. We hope as many families as possible can come and join us. This is a free event for all. There will be a puppet play and song singing, some traditional carols by candlelight, after which we´ll share some biscuits and hot drinks. Some of these will be prepared in advance during our sessions or by the leaders. Parents are welcome to contribute with cakes, biscuits, special diet recipes and alternative to spiced tea and apple juice carton donations on the day of the festival. Thank you! On the day, please make sure your children are not wearing loose and long floaty clothing that might cause them any risk to safety, as we will have tea lights lit around the setting. Please note that there will be no session in the hall, but Wednesday session families are very welcome to join Susannah at Oxleas Woods to make up for missing play! Looking forward to seeing you there. Warmest regards, The Acorns Team. |
