Susannah, Claudia, Kat and the Acorns team 2/4/2017 0 Comments April 02nd, 2017Dear families, This is our last week at Acorns. Then it will be Easter holidays, which are very long. The first session back is Wednesday 3rd May, Thursday 4th May, Friday 5th May. Sorry, we are not offering any special drop in session as the interest was very low, we guessed most people leave London for sunny beaches or rainy fields! We are going to say good bye to Susannah. She is going to miss all the children's sunny smiles. We welcome Kat as our new leader for the Thursday and Friday groups, whilst Claudia will carry on with her Wednesday group. Kat has been a great support and faithful assistant bring her wisdom and calm energy to the group session and her delicious soda bread! Assistant position - We are hoping to find an assistant for Kat for the Thursday session; please come forward and offer your help, in return we offer a free space for your child to attend the sessions. Adult and Child Group reflects Steiner’s wish to nurture children and their families, as well as to recognise the importance of protecting the wonder of early childhood. We invite Parents/carers and children to our Acorns, old and new, to join us on the next term. Bookings for the next term, called summer term (but where is the summer?) are open on line, soon after Easter week. We do not have a “drop in” session, families are asked to book a place and pay in advance for a term. There is a maximum number of families expected for each session and so, with the limited space we have available, is more comfortable for everyone. It also provides a known group for both the children and parents, carers, enabling support and friendships to grow. NEXT TERM STARTS ON week commencing 02 MAY 2017 and ENDS on week ending 14 JULY 2017 half term is from 29 MAY - 2 JUNE 2017 PLEASE BOOK ONLINE AFTER EASTER AND AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT! Just go to 'Booking' and follow the instructions. We sometimes have a waiting list as sessions fill up very quickly. For this it is best you book asap, as places get booked on a first come first served basis. If a particular group you have been attending is your favourite one, do book now so not to loose your space, as newcomers will book as well! ,___, ✲ * {◕,◕} * * ✲ * _/)_,,)_✲ * * ☆。 。。☆ ✫*¨`*✶♪.¸¸.✻ღϠ₡ღ✻ (¯`✻´¯)S░P░R░I░N░G ✰ `*.¸.*✻ღϠ₡ღ.¸¸.✫*¨`*✶♪ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ .¸.•´♥ Gusty March winds blowing .¸.•´♥ .•´♥ Daffodils a' blowing, .¸.•´♥ .•´♥.¸.•´♥ Birds sing, bells ring, .¸.•´♥.¸.•´♥ There’s blossom on the bough..¸.•´♥ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In and out the dusty bluebells... ...who shall be my partner? Parent & Child Workshop/Seminar 2017
With their knowledge and experience in child development, leaders can really support parents in their early parenting journey. However, such opportunities may not always present themselves, and leaders can remain mere witnesses. In their quest to support parents, leaders themselves need support, be it from colleagues, advisers, or the wider P&C group leaders’ community. The conference aims to provide leaders with ideas of how to best support parents as well as how to find support if they need it themselves. PROGRAMME 9.15 Registration and coffee 10.00 Three Presentations on the theme by Dorothy Marlen, Jane Girling and Rachel Tapping 12.30 Lunch – PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN 1.30 - 3.00 Three Workshops led by the presenters on the theme 3.00 – 4.00 Feedback from the discussion groups/conversation. |
