April 02nd, 2017

Dear families,

This is our last week at Acorns. Then it will be Easter holidays, which are very long.
The first session back is Wednesday 3rd May, Thursday 4th May, Friday 5th May.

Sorry, we are not offering any special drop in session as the interest was very low,
we guessed most people leave London for sunny beaches or rainy fields!

We are going to say good bye to Susannah. She is going to miss all the children's sunny smiles.

We welcome Kat as our new leader for the Thursday and Friday groups, whilst Claudia will carry on with her Wednesday group. Kat has been a great support and faithful assistant bring her wisdom and calm energy to the group session and her delicious soda bread!
Assistant position -
We are hoping to find an assistant for Kat for the Thursday session; please come forward and offer your help, in return we offer a free space for your child to attend the sessions.

Adult and Child Group reflects Steiner’s wish to nurture children and their families, as well as to recognise the importance of protecting the wonder of early childhood.

We invite Parents/carers and children to our Acorns, old and new, to join us on the next term.
Bookings for the next term, called summer term (but where is the summer?) are open on line, soon after Easter week.

We do not have a “drop in” session, families are asked to book a place and pay in advance for a term.
There is a maximum number of families expected for each session and so, with the limited space we have available, is more comfortable for everyone.  It also provides a known group for both the children and parents, carers, enabling support and friendships to grow.

NEXT TERM STARTS ON

week commencing 02 MAY 2017 and ENDS on week ending 14 JULY 2017

half term is from 29 MAY - 2 JUNE 2017

PLEASE BOOK ONLINE AFTER EASTER AND AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!
Just go to 'Booking' and follow the
instructions.

We sometimes have a waiting list as sessions fill up very quickly.
For this it is best you
book asap, as places get booked on a first come first served basis.
If a particular group you have been attending is your favourite one, do book now so not to loose your space, as newcomers will book as well!

In and out the dusty bluebells...

Pitter patter pitter patter on my shoulders...

Spring and Summer at Acorns

Sleepy Bunnies
See the little bunnies sleeping ‘till is nearly noon…
Shall we wake them with a merry tune?
Oh so sweet- Are they ill? Wake up soon!

Hop
little bunnies hop, hop, hop,

Hop
little bunnies hop, hop, hop

Ten little fairies stand up straight
Ten little fairies make a gate
Ten little fairies bow to the King
Ten little fairies make a ring
Ten little fairies dance and play
Ten little fairies fly away ( hide away)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Daffodilly down came to town
With her yellow bonnet and her green gown!
The silver raindrops patter upon the earth today
Tip tap, their knock is gentle and this is what they say
“Awake now little flowers and open wide your door,
Put on your rainbow dresses as Spring is here once more!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oats, peas, beans, and barley grow,
Oats, peas, beans, and barley grow,
Can you or I or anyone know
How oats, peas, beans, and barley grow?

First the farmer sows his seed,
Stands erect and takes his ease,
He stamps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his lands.
Chorus:
Next the farmer waters the seed,
Stands erect and takes his ease,
He stamps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his lands.
Chorus:
Next the farmer hoes the weeds,
Stands erect and takes his ease,
He stamps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his lands.
Chorus:
Last the farmer harvests his seed,
Stands erect and takes his ease,
He stamps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his lands.
Chorus:
