a very happy New Year 2015 Bookings for the new Spring Term open from BOXING DAY 26th December 2014 The sessions will resume on Monday 12th January 2015 The new term dates are: 12/01/15 to 27/03/15 half term week: 16/02/15 - 20/02/15 NEXT TERM STARTS ON MONDAY 12TH JANUARY 2015 PLEASE BOOK ON LINE FROM BOXING DAY AND AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT! http://www.greenwichacorns.org.uk/ From Boxing day, click on Bookings to sign up to your favourite sessions. If you already belong to a group session, and wish to continue coming simply book for the same session on line, as before. if you wish to change day or add a day, you may do so too. if you are new, you need to register first then choose a session and book. We can't reserve spaces, so don't assume you can come to your usual session and just turn up without signing up on line! Other people can sign up too! We only have a max number of 14 children indoor and it is first come, first served is all we can do! On this website you may browse for extra information about our Parent and Child sessions and ethos, but also place your booking for this coming term and all the following ones. For your information, or the latest news if you click on top bar on 'news' and our current sessions are listed under the Timetable section. Families of older children, please consider the drop off playgroup as a gentle transition between parent and Child and kindergarten. For info, just email us with any question you may have and to arrange a face to face chat and trial sessions. PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE CONTINUING THE OUTDOOR SESSIONS THROUGHOUT THE WINTER, SO PLEASE BE BRAVE, IT IS NOT AS BAD AS YOU THINK, JUST WEAR YOUR THERMALS AND LET' S GIVE THE CHILDREN THE CHANCE TO PLAY WITH JACK FROST! We have a special creative art with movement and interactive ring time, imagination games and storytelling on Monday pm that could attract slightly older children, perhaps after Kindergarten drop in: MONDAYS,13.30-15.15 You won't see it on the website so, for more info, please contact us directly mentioning Monday pm group session. If you go to the Booking tab you will be taken directly to our secure online booking system https://bookings.greenwichacorns.org.uk The whole process is pretty straightforward. You will first need to register yourself. (This is a one time process; so if you've done that in previous terms, you're already registered with us) You’ll then instantly receive an invite via email (this is for security purposes) with a link that you must click on to confirm your email address. Once you've done that you’ll be safe to log in and add your child or children, and book your chosen session(s). We'll no longer require your posting a cheque to us. You will now be paying online using credit or debit card. Immediately after you have paid via our secure payment gateway you’ll receive an e-mail confirmation of your booking and acknowledgement of payment. CHRISTMAS CRAFTS WORKSHOP NEEDLE FELTING with Susanna Wallis Thursday 18th December Church of Ascension 10 to 12 arrive prompt for 10 am start £7 per family It's very popular, only two spaces left, now. Christmas tree hangings, your design and shape. round balls, flat pine trees, angels, figgy puddings! For the children I am making cookies to hang on your Christmas tree. Also, please also bring fruit and crackers for a shared snack. Come and learn and make your own gifts to take home! Susanna Wallis will guide you through the activity. The Acorns team. 9/12/2014 0 Comments Advent Festival Friday 12 DecemberACORNS' Parent and Child invites all families, relatives and friends to our lovely ADVENT FESTIVAL AND CHRISTMAS BAZAAR Friday 12th December at 10 am at the Church of Ascension, Dartmouth Row (no bookings necessary- free event) Arrival at 10 am Singing seasonal tunes by candlelight (the wondrous part) A short Advent puppet story at 10.30 (the sweet section) Music and more carol singing, a blessing, (the Christmas bit) Followed by Chai Tea and Cookies (the yummy end) This event is free, but if you donate a little something, it will go towards the future refurbishment of our kitchen, thanks. A stall with beautiful crafts for your Christmas gifts, so bring some pocket money! The Friday outdoor session in Oxleas Woods is therefore postponed. 1/12/2014 0 Comments WINTER FAIR SUNDAY 7TH DECEMBERAcorns invites all families to participate at our very unique Winter Fair. Winter Fair & Craft Market Sunday 7th December 2014 from 11am to 4pm GREENWICH STEINER SCHOOL WOODLANDS This is your chance to come and get a glimpse of the creative environment we offer at Greenwich Steiner School; we transform our school in one of the busiest and most magical Christmas Fairs ever. In the past we had Snow Queen, storytelling, gingerbread house making, carols and live music, fantastic wholesome food, bakery, homemade cakes, hand made gifts, guest stalls from selected local shops, complementary therapies offered in the relax room, the ever magical and fantastic enchanted Grotto. Just come on the day as a visitor or spend a couple of hours on the day and help in a shift, or be completely involved and set up, create, be part of it, be the star of the show and /or help tidy up afterwards...whatever you feel, depending on your personality and skills! Your chance to be a secret Santa, a tombola winner, a raffle dazzler, a winter fairy, a helpful elf. Come forward please and tell us what your skills are! The Acorns team is usually in charge of painting, card making, natural orange and cinnamon tree decorations, star cookies, play dough, the ever popular face painting. Tell us if you would like to be involved NOW, please so we assign little jobs to each of us.
