Here I experienced community living, began learning meditation and developed a regular yoga practice. I continued to practice when I returned home and completed a British Wheel of Yoga foundation course with Elaine Fletcher in 2007. My dedication to yoga grew and I completed a 3 year British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training Diploma with Charlotte Prud'homme. Since 2011 and whilst studying, I have been teaching regular yoga classes alongside working as an art teacher. I am also qualified in holistic therapies. In order to continually develop my awareness of and competence in Yoga I regularly attend workshops and retreats with experienced and internationally respected Yoga teachers. In this way I aim to continually improve and enrich the experience I am able to offer my students. To compliment my Yoga practice I also regularly attend meditation retreats with the Triratna Buddhist Community and have attended Vipassana ( a 10 day silent meditation discourse). Susannah Andrews has been exploring macrobiotics for years and run many workshops about nutrition, cookery and inspired many people. Reclaim food as sacred medicine. There is an innate connection between food, the health of your body, and your emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. In the ancient ways, everything that goes in and on your body is ‘medicine’ – intended to bring healing, vital energy and abundant nourishment. Following the wise ways of our ancestors, true nourishment brings freedom from modern-day struggles with stress, fatigue, addictions, food allergies, and imbalances with eating patterns, energy levels and body image. Aim for balance, understand the connection between food, movement, energy and the sacred in our lives... Susannah is a trained early years practitioner with 12 years experience with running groups, coaching and running talks. She works as a one to one and group coach. Susannah also says: I am lucky that my attitude towards health and nutrition is a healthy one, coming from Italian background...cooking everything fresh, with the most natural and genuine ingredients, cooking as they say here, from scratch! I am lucky and deeply grateful that my sense of taste and smell makes me only want to have these things and my body naturally refuses junk. This sounds terribly pretentious and snobby but it is part of who I am and how I was brought up...I am thankful for my body and my mind for this and my spirit is thanking me too!
